Rules and Organisation
-
The players first play in 8 different groups and the best 2 players in each group will attempt the finals (the number of groups and their composition may change according to the number of players). The official matches must be declared using the new /championship command (now available courtesy of Pimpinella). All championship games also count for the 1vs1 regular tournament!
-
Players are put in groups according to their strengh (aka Zelo): "good" players have less chances to fight at early stage of competition!
-
Mikkel, Red Baron2 and DarthValou have been elected to be permanent referees of this championship. If you have any questions or issues please contact them on IRC or contact Zongo.
-
The official servers are 1vs1.pimpi.org:5155 and 1vs1.pimpi.org:5160
-
Maps are random and both players agree on the map before playing. A /superkill command is now available for each player on the 1vs1 servers.
-
If a player has more than 200ms of lag or more than 15ms of jitter, the opponent has the right to refuse the game at any moment of the match. However this must be in the presence of a (official) referee or observers.
-
For the first round, each player play 2 games versus each other opponent of the same group. Each win brings 3 points and a loss 1 point. If a player doesnt show up between 11th and 20th of July, he/she loses by forfeit. A forfeit gives 2 points to the other players. If a player "disappears" during the game he/she has to give a good excuse (powercut, lightening, earthquake, hurricane...) otherwise the game will be won by the opponent by forfeit.
-
For the second round, the first player in each group will play against the second of another group. Players of Group A will play players of Group E, etc. The games will be played at the best of five. The player winning three matches will go to the next round.
-
For the finals (second round) players are expected to organise themselves well enough in order to have time to play those five matches before 5th August. If a player doesn't show up for the matches before that deadline, he will lose by forfeit.
